This sermon explores Jonah’s story as a picture of resisting God’s call. Like Jonah, we often flee from difficult assignments, but God uses consequences, not merely to punish, but to redirect, rescue, and restore. Through storms and challenges, God invites obedience, showing that his mercy and sovereignty guide us. Christ’s sacrifice reverses our disobedience, enabling us to respond faithfully to God’s calls without fear.
